A content management system (CMS) is a software system that provides website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools designed to allow users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages to create and manage website content with relative ease.
A robust CMS provides the foundation for collaboration, offering users the ability to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation.
There are plenty of options when it comes to picking a content management system for a development project but the two most popular ones are definitely WordPress and Joomla at the moment.
For me as a developer it doesn’t really matter much which one to use but in general WordPress is a bit more user-friendly then Joomla. That’s why I usually recommend WordPress for our clients.
